Backstory 

James was born to Ann Light in Manhattan New York. His mother moved from Scotland while she was still pregnant with him, She never talked about his father, keeping the memory of him a secret to herself. James was born with a birth defect. A rare case of Osteogenesis imperfect, which caused the Sclera of his eyes to be solid black. His pupils were also red, similar to that of an albino, though he never showed any other signs of being albino. His eyes earned him ridicule from children around him, at times calling him a mistake or demon child. When he asked his mother why, she responded by saying. “Your eyes are special, theres nothing wrong with you. It’s the world thats wrong.” 

At 11 he was diagnosed with bi polar disorder due to his frequent mood swings and emotional instability. Despite this, his teachers always saw him in a positive light, often commenting that he was an inquisitive and hard working student. James was extremely intelligent for his age, excelling at Mathematics and English lit, and science. In particular. James in his middle school years actually gained a social group, though he was usually the quiet one of the group, he got along with them  alright. By himself, he would often show an almost obsessive fascination with dead animals.  He never killed any, but he always found curiosity in a finding a dead rat or bird on the street, often contemplating what really awaited people in death. He decided to keep these thoughts to himself, feeling a sense of shame towards sharing them with others.

Though upon arriving at his new school, James became anti social, often isolating himself from social circles. There was not tormenting , as many were aware of his medical conditions. Yet  through his dark fascinations, he began to developed a bleak outlook on life, often spending hours on end, watching news reports related to foreign or local problems. His disorder also often caused moments of manic depression. By age 18 his emotional stability was beginning to deteriorate. Seeing James's depressed mood swings, his mother asked him to see a therapist to help him cope, but James refused. However, despite this James managed to graduate from high school. Unfortunately due to low funds, his mother was only able to send him to a local community college to study psychology. 

At age 19, James was jumped by a group of men from the small town in which he lived. These men were often reported to have committed acts of vandalism and domestic violence, but lack of evidence led to the men being untouched by the law. James in a panic, lashed out at them, using an axe in a nearby yard to defended himself. He accidentally killed one of the men, but in turn got shot by a member of the group. The men out of spite, mutilate James’s corpse removing his eyes. Out  of panic they took the body far out of town limits. They found a heavily fenced off area. Not wanting to enter, they simply through James's body over the fence. James's body rolled down the hill into the fenced off forest area. It was raining At this time, thats all James could recall  happening. He awakes in the forest to find himself, alive, his eyes had some how returned.

(This event was caused due to the nature of the ground were James lay. In the soil was an unknown chemical that had existed in the area for centuries. That area used to be seen as cursed by many settlers and natives who used it as a burial ground.  People who died in that area would often come back. Though they would not be the same. They were often described as living shadows, as they could travel through shadows themselves. Though despite this, these humans were still physical beings, and could be killed a second time. This chemical entered James's bloodstream through his wounds, due to the rain water. It healed his wounds.)

James became traumatised by coming back, In his panic, he begins to discover he can now interact and move using shadows. Emotionally unstable, and filled with rage, James tracked down the men responsible for his death. killing them each one at a time. With each men he removes there eyes, as to mirror what they did to him. The last man of group James found out he had a family. A mother he lived with. James went to his house restraining the man's mother to a chair. When he finally came home. James savagely bludgeoned him to death with the axe in front of the man's mother. Finishing the job, he left the mother tied up in the room with her sons corpse.

A month later James returned from his killing spree, eager to show his mother he was alright. Though what he found destroyed him. His mother had committed suicide. He found out  he'd  been missing for three months. His mother assumed her child was dead, seeing no reason to live. James distraught by his mothers death, burns down his former residence, leaving his old life behind him. James visited his mother's grave frequently, constantly asking her to wake up. He didn't understand how he had come back to life, but wished for the same to happen to his mother. 

It never did. James began to think he was cursed, though after months of thought he remembered what his mother had said. "Theres nothing wrong with you, it's the world thats wrong" James developed a delusional philosophy that the world is a dark and chaotic, and judged all the misery that happened to him,as well as his murders as, a normal occurrence, though the biggest change, came to his view on people.

James began to scoff at people living happy lives, at times accusing society of living a delusion, because of this his killings and murders after began to focus on making people see, what he thought was the truth.

Abilities: Teleportation through shadows in direct line of sight. Immunity to disease. 

Weaknesses: Guns, Blades. (anything that has the ability to kill something.) Mentioning of his Mother/or his Mothers memory. Being unable to have his own vanity, insulted, doing this he becomes far more compulsive, and loses focus. Blinding by the use of Intense light. 

Clothing: black hoodie, dark blue Jeans, and red and black sneakers. Sometimes he'll wear a black suit and tie.

Physical ticks: at times hunching, cracking his neck, and Laughing.

"Beliefs"

Has a strong belief that human beings, are at odds with there own dark nature. Believing the the only absolution in life is Darkness. Dark also generally commits horrible acts for multiple reasons, each depending on the situation. He believes  that it doesn’t really matter why he does these things, the aftermath is what really matters to him. 

Additional information.
Dark. committed his first murders out of revenge, his later acts are committed on the bases of his own philosophy. He judges the world to be a chaotic mess, deeming his horrible acts to be justifiable, and in his eyes, normal. Seeing the world is already dark and chaotic, he's claims "he's just along to revel in it."

Talents 
Dark, is an intellectual and an expert manipulator. He knows fully the basics of the human weakness, and how to exploit them. Most notable is how he Manipulates Nora. These signs have often lead to him being labeled a sociopath.

Relations with other CP
Dark, often has a bad reputation, being an uncontrollable anarchist. He has on occasion killed Slender Proxies, in order to get a reaction from The Slenderman. 
It's for this reason nobody can really trust him. Most seeing Dark as a loose cannon.

How he got his Name.
Dark is an alias James chose for himself upon leaving his old life behind him. As of now Dark himself can barely remember his real name. Also, he's made sure all information on his real name and his past life have been destroyed or lost. Making tracking him or predicting his movements very difficult.


Lack of Identity 
In the later years before his initial appearance as Dark. James used much of his intellect and new ability, to infiltrate and erase any information about himself, and his mother. Leading to many to not know who he is or was. He himself at times forgets. 

Insanity 
Dark despite the horrible things he does, is actually clinically sane. Though he is emotionally unstable, his mind is completely rational. He at one point said doing the horrible things he does keeps him sane.

Relationship with Nora Williams
While incarcerated in the SCP sanitarium, Dark corrupted the mind of a young woman called Nora Williams. While locked in a room with him, Dark bent her mind, causing her to become clinically insane. He eventually escaped the sanitarium with her. Dark generally finds Nora entertaining, as she is completely devoted to him. 
In a way Dark in a way needs Nora, on an unconscious level. As having her around  is maybe the last bit of humanity he holds onto. (even if it is veeeery little)

Relationship with Nightcrawler.
Dark has one remaining family member, and that is his half brother Nightcrawler. Dark, while breaking out of SCP found many of there documents they had recorded on him, one sparked his interest. A blood sample match. He saw that he shared similar blood to a one Danny Parker. Dark decided to dig up more on him. Finding not only had this boys parents were, but that they shared the same father. Dark tracked Nightcrawler down easily, telling him the truth.
Dark, however despite finding Nightcrawler, showed no compassion towards him. Though at the same time, he didn't harm him, as in a twisted way he see's it better to keep his only family close. At the same time he stated to Nightcrawler that "there is no hope for him."

Relationship with Alex Swan 
After encountering Nightcrawler, Dark was tracked down by a secret admirer called Alex Swan. Alex once saw Dark kill a man. He let her get away, but in turn she developed obsession with him. This obsession soon turned romantic, as she deiced to find him, and make him hers. Dark seeing how devoted Alex was to him, decided to use her. He found Nora becoming to independent, and decided having Alex would be beneficial. Dark often takes advantage of Alex's blind love, leading her on for her to do what he wants. Unfortunately he often abuses her , but due to her infatuation, she lets him do it, enjoying every minute of it. In a way Dark also looks at Alex with interest himself. As he was so easily able to corrupt her. 

His sadistic humor.
Dark is most notable for his cocky smile. In truth he rarely ever worries, seeing modern civilization and it's need for control as a hilarious Joke.

Physical Strength
Dark keeps his body in shape, by doing frequent exercises in his spare time. He isn't a powerhouse, but he can hold his own in a fight. He is agile, with decent reflexes. Though these skills aren't useful against everybody

Abilities
Dark's main defense is his shadow teleportation. He can move through Shadows that are in his direct eyesight in the blink of an eye.

Dark's Worst Crimes

Beating to death the gang leader, in front of his mother.

Killing and mutilating a young boy's parents. 

Shooting his psychiatrists wife in the head, right in front of there daughter.

Poisoning a small town using hydrogen cyanide.

Okay so I decided to remake this. Since my first reference sheet had little to no information about his past, and character. 

So Here is my first rough idea of Dark's backstory. I'm making it official XD
